Discover the world through your 5 senses
LCC Viaggi Erbacci believes that all travelers, including people with disabilities, have the right to travel and enjoy the world. Morena, an LCC Viaggi Erbacci employee, initiated the project “SenSInViaggio” with the aim to integrate people with any disability, for example visually impaired kids or families with deaf members, into a multi-sensory travel experience. With the encouragement of CEO Giorgio Erbacci and the help of Anna Maria Taroni, an “Art Therapist”, five (one for each sense) multi-sensory travel destinations were identified. To explore taste and stimulate taste buds, for example, a visit to the famous Perugina Chocolate Factory was organized. During the trip Anna Maria arranged a series of activities to promote the imagination and creativity of children and adults. Another trip was to the Guggenheim Museum in Venice with the aim of exploring art through touch. The other sight, smell and hearing experiences included The Tarots Garden (sight), the Valbonella Holiday Farm (smell) and the Venasca Sound Factory (hearing). Almost 200 people participated to the first edition of “SensSInViaggio”. LCC Viaggi Erbacci connected people in a travel community where everyone can feel involved. A time and space where travelers can overcome personal life difficulties and learn from one another by exploring new places and emotions. The project was approved and supported by the Municipality of Faenza for its strong social commitment. The second edition of “SenSInViaggio” has already begun.
